Malgorzata Szumala-Kieronska, MSc
Hi, I’m Małgorzata 😊
And I’ll tell you straight away that my diet hasn’t always looked the way it does today.
I was a very picky eater as a child. I would happily eat the same few foods over and over again, and as far as I was concerned, vegetables didn’t need to exist. Things didn’t get much better as I got older. For years, I gave very little thought to whether I was actually giving my body what it needed. I ate irregularly, often didn’t eat enough, and certainly wasn’t a stranger to fast food or highly processed foods.
I was slim, so I assumed everything was fine.
Now I know that being slim doesn’t necessarily mean you’re eating well.
It wasn’t until I started experiencing problems with my health and how I was feeling day to day that I really began paying attention to what I ate, how much I ate and what my body actually needed. Over time, food stopped being something I only thought about when I was hungry. Nutrition became part of my self-care.
And no, my diet still isn’t “perfect”.
It doesn’t need to be.
I’m not going to make you afraid of bread, potatoes or pasta. I’m not going to take away your chocolate just because you want to lose weight. And I certainly don’t expect everything you eat from now on to have a flawless ingredients list or an impressive nutritional profile.
If most of what you eat supports your goals and gives your body what it needs, there’s still room for foods you eat simply because you enjoy them.
For one person, that might be chocolate. For someone else, it could be pizza, a meal out or a beer with friends. What matters is making informed choices and understanding how they fit into your goals, not trying to do everything perfectly for the rest of your life.
I’m not here to reinvent the wheel.
My approach is based on tried and tested fundamentals. We work out your energy requirements, look at how you currently eat and decide what needs to change based on what you actually want to achieve.
Want to lose weight? We’ll need an appropriate calorie deficit. Want to build muscle? The approach will be different. Simply want to eat better? We’ll start with what genuinely needs improving.
I don’t need you to be perfect. I need you to be honest with me.
If you haven’t managed to stick to what we agreed that week, tell me. You won’t get a lecture and I’m not going to judge you. Instead of pretending everything is going great, we’ll work out why it isn’t.
Maybe the plan doesn’t fit around your life. Maybe you’re hungry all the time. Maybe you simply don’t have enough time. Or perhaps we’re trying to change too much at once.
Then we change something.
Want to give it a go? Tell us a little about yourself and what you’d like to achieve.
You don’t need to know exactly what kind of support you need yet. We’ll help you work that out ⬇️
